An update to this is that Hurricane Ike took its tool on the sculptures and Paul's was destroyed. You can read the story here.

http://swamplot.com/ikes-revenge-paul-is-dead/2...

Re: The Beatles make an appearance in Houston

Great observation!

Do you mind if I use this in a presentation I am giving about "spacial mobility" and music? You will be credited fully, of course.

Chris

Re: What did you say about me?

I have used TheFunded to give honest and blunt feedback…some good, some bad. Now I am very worried that the VC firms that I gave honest (but negative) feedback on will come after me! I am not a ‘techie’ so all this stuff about security and anonymous identities on the web goes over my head. How likely is it that anything will come of this? Should I go back in and delete all (good and bad) of my comments on TheFunded’s site?

Re: TechCrunch50 demo

Good luck David!

Re: iPhone blogging update

thanks for the heads up on the new Wordpress iPhone app. I need to check that out.

Re: What do you mean you found a bug?

This was great! A colleague sent it to me because a person at my current place of employment recently asked me "Did you even check this at all before it went to production?" I was particularly ticked because I was given less than 2 weeks to test what I thought would take 7 times that long, and we do not have a test environment that matches our production environment. Mean people suck.

Re: Yankee fan needs help

David - did you decide to pull this off?

Assuming that you're cabbing it while you're in NYC, I'd just leave my bags with a bell hop in a brand name hotel close to Yankee Stadium. Google Maps lists several if you input "hotels near Yankee Stadium". Your cabbie may be able to recommend a hotel close by, but you should have an address, just in case. Expect the going rate to be anywhere from $3 to $5 per bag. They shouldn't care if you're even staying in the hotel. If they ask, just tell them that your room isn't ready yet and you'll be back. After the game, just walk back to the hotel and get a cab from there to your hotel in NJ.

P.S. - You'll tip the bell hop when you pick up your bags, so make sure not to spend all your money on beer at the game.

Good luck!

Re: Make you cry for your Mommy

David,
You did a fantastic job and it was great having you in the bootcamp. I haven't had enough coffee yet to go over your route, but I can tell you that there are a few places outside the stadium that will store your luggage for a reasonable fee. I can't give you specifics, it's been a couple years since I've done it, but I recall that there were several options, I believe on River Ave. amidst all the bars and shops.

Re: Make you cry for your Mommy

So glad You Tube guy admitted to almost throwing up...I was thinking I probably would have within the first two exercises. I threw up the first day of the Boot Camp I did several years ago. I think that is something to be proud of???

Re: I really dropped the ball today

I have to say David that this is kind of indicative of people who have been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug. As your heart becomes more wrapped up in your startup it becomes less dedicated to your day job. It becomes harder to keep your focus. This is something that you'll need to be more aware of as you move forward with your side project.

I've seen way to many entreps get so sick of the day job and so sure of the side project that they end up jumping too early. Of course I've seen the opposite where the employee never makes the leap and their side project just sits out there and flounders.

What's the saying: "No man can serve two masters."

Re: I really dropped the ball today

Really good lesson. One of those that sucks to learn though. Don't beat yourself up - just know that you'll do different next time and move on. It'll make you a better worker and a better leader.

Re: What do you mean you found a bug?

love it......we must have bought our soap boxes at the same soap box store

Re: A really chill Saturday

Doing a great job, David!

Re: A note to myself from the future

Yeah I saw that!
